Every been in a restaurant when it turns "Happy Hour?" You notice the mood instantly changes as everyone is ready for fun. Whenever I'm having a Bad Hair Day, my cure is always a personal Happy Hour. Of course, I'm hopeless addicted to interiors; so for me, this hour is all about decorating. In this series, we'll look at some quick and happy mood changers for our very own Happy Hour. Each should take about an hour - a mere 60 minutes - to perk up our minds and our rooms. Let's get the party started.
Did daylight savings catch you by surprise this morning? Now I find out Easter is early this year. That means there's only a month to enjoy, at least at my house, rabbits everywhere. So yesterday, it was time to grab the bunnies from the basement. I also did something to my entry table I've been thinking about for years. Let's take a look.

I move these mahjong-playing rabbits around. The plate was an Easter gift from my mom from that little shop on Woodstock Ave in Portland. Once in a while, Connie and I reminisce over that long gone shop. For Easter, this plate is on a guest room side table.

It took me a minute to remember where I got this handsome hare. It was at an after-Easter 70% off Pottery Barn sale.

No Easter is complete without my fluffle (don't you love that term?) of rabbits. These rabbits hang out on my study's little sofa.

Wrought iron bunnies from Etsy.

While not a rabbit, a beloved goose from an old boyfriend. It's faience, made in France with steel feet. It moves around my rooms, especially at Easter. I love coming home to discover a goose on the kitchen table.

And now for a little Happy Hour project. See the new scallop edge on the table?

When I was in Aix en Provence last fall, I spied lots of decorative edging on old buildings. See the scalloped edged below the new windows at the top? Maybe I could do something similar to my marble table.

The finished edge.

Here's the first piece.

Remember this from your childhood classrooms? "49.2ft Bulletin Board Border, Corrugated Paper Decorative Wavy Border," on Amazon for $19.

I used this tape to stick the scallop to the marble tabletop edge. Easy Peasy. This super strong tape is easily removeable.

The scallop just adds a little interest to an otherwise boring tabletop.

So that's it for Bunny Season around my rooms. I just need a few little yellow Peeps bunnies on the entry table to let the fun begin. Hope you'll have a happy sunny Sunday!
