Sally and I recently explored the 2026 San Francisco Decorator Showcase in Pacific Heights. Last Sunday, I took you on a tour of the main floor. Now let's take a look at the 2nd and 3rd floors.

Hands down, my favorite room in this year's showcase. Titled "Delft Dreams" is designed for a teen with "discerning taste" or as a retreat for out-of-town guests. Blue&white ticking fabric on every surface.

The team cut pages from a book to compose this affordable art gallery. (I buy $5 coffee table books at the Moraga public library sales which would be an inexpensive way to decorate a wall.) We spoke to the designer who told us she had planned to frame each drawing but decided to simply hand decorate each mat.

A fresh way to update a piece of brown furniture.

Each room offers a portfolio card featuring a photo of the room. Wondering if the fireplace surround's delft tile inspired this room or did the decorator add to inspire the room?

A very small space turned into a playful mahjong (game) room.

On the second floor, the decorator intentionally designed the laundry room to look like a bar.

The designers imagined this third floor room as a Parisian boutiqute hotel retreat. I loved the blue&white jars on the night table and the wicker basket filled with live ferns.

Walls and ceiling of blue toile echos a palette of fog often seen through the windows. There were a number of different styles of wall light switches in the rooms but this was my favorite.

On the other side of the room, a cozy place to unwind faces a fireplace. There is also a small terrace.

Also on the third floor, the decorator team called this space the "chapel." The mission was to "enwrap the body and excite the mind. Limewash, clay, stone, wool and silk - all ancient and humble." Who knew?

I took a photo out this window (shown at the top of this post). What a view! I loved the juxtaposition of the carpet and wall tile. That tile is also on the other side of the wall framing a fireplace.

On our very steep 3-block walk down to Union Street, we spied a beautiful Victorian facade with a happy bougainvillea.

Sally and I ended the afternoon by walking Union Street and eating lunch at Rose's Restaurant. As you can see, we orded too much food. Have a great Sunday!
