Decor Classic : A Pink Bedroom & Bath Completed

Updated: 5 hours ago

In the last musings about my bedroom, I had recovered the headboard and a chair pillow with a floral print, painted the lampshades pink and collected some pink books and candlesticks. This spring, the 1990 fireplace mantel and insert were replaced and the walls painted. All that was left was a few details. Lets see what happened next.

The Waverly fabric was found at Walmart.com and sold in 2 yard lenghts.

I bought some Betsy Johnson pink print sheets on Amazon.

The pink thing started last spring when I bought a hot pink box of bonbons in Paris.

I have a painting arriving this month for above the fireplace but that's a story for another day. Including tile on a bathroom wall, bedroom wall paint, fireplace insert/ mantel and a few electrical projects, Jesus and crew were here 10 days this spring, The electrician one day and Anthony installing the gas insert took 2-1/2 days.

My sweet purple phalaenopsis has lost her blooms. While I wait for more, I headed to HomeGoods for a pitcher of color to suit the bedroom headboard fabric. Here were my choices that looked and felt real for $17.

It's amazing how some color perks things up.

The marble tile was installed behind the tub.

I wasn't about to go full Barbie but I love my pale pink painted (interior wall paint) lampshades. The pink rug is from Ruggables and is machine washable.

I used a mirror in an old frame as the "vanity." The only thing left to do is my closet. One of these days, I'll be back with how that turned out. And now for celebrating mothers.
