Happy Hour : Spring into Summer
Sure early June is technically spring but don't you feel like it's time for summer? My Happy Hour plan today is to clear off the living room mantel and bring in fresh flowers and greens. After all, nothing feels like a change of season than out with the old, in with the new. Whether it be a single rose, cluster of rhododendrons or branches filled with new green leaves - I promise you - you'll feel refreshed immediately. If you don't have a mantel, just choose a table whether it be kitchen/dining room, coffee table or bedside to get that warm weather feeling. Let's take a look at some possibilities.
Imagine these flowers were just gathered from the garden or from an easy-to-pull-apart grocery store bouquet. A great way to show off a collection of small vases.

Spring/summer flora truly bloom in front of a dark colored wall.
Tulips are still in grocery stores right now. I love this idea of putting them in unexpected pots.
Delicate and fresh and super easy.

Pots of plants will look great all summer. So Mediterranean!

You could keep these things on this mantel all summer - just swap out the greens when needed.

If you have more than one Happy Hour, considering adding to your late spring/early summer fireplace look with a collection of straw hats.
I love a slow drive on a street I don't know. Check out this house on Sea View in Piedmont (a small town surrounded by Oakland, CA) which Redfin values at $6 .6M. Aren't those climbing roses stunning? Driving by, I thought I was in England for a minute. Hope you can take time for a Sunday drive today!
