Quick summer decorating is as easy as looking at your "inventory" around the house and put things together in a new way.  Downstairs, we have a long pine table.  I've added a summery painting of three girls I did years ago, a junk store frame (with cardboard "picture") and gathered my straw hats from the closet.  Easy peasy.  Let's take a look at our summer house.

After an iffy May, it's suddenly 80 degrees in the shade here in Oakland.  We've got our deck ready - pots of plants trimmed, the grill scrubbed and ready to sizzle.  If you're like me, I like a summery feel to our rooms inside too.  Here's some quick tips to make our rooms feel more like summer is on it's way.

The other day, my friend Connie texted me this beautiful box of apples.  She and her grandsons had picked them in her Oregon yard and were headed in to make applesauce.  You can almost smell their musty sweetness on a hot summer day.  That got me thinking - these colors would make a really fresh color palette.  Let's play my favorite color game and decorate an apple green and red house using Pinterest....
